Description
This building, formerly occupied by J and G Archibald Limited, is a house with a shop dating from the early 19th century. It features incised stucco, likely applied over rubble stone, and has alternating raised quoins. The roof is made of Welsh slate, and there are white brick chimneys. The structure has three storeys and three bays, with the right bay being wider. The shop front was altered in the early 20th century and includes a wider right section with a half-glazed double door that is recessed. Above the shop front, there are early 20th-century sash windows set in raised stone surrounds. The building has a thin eaves cornice and stone gable copings on curved kneelers, along with end chimneys. It is included for its group value.
