Description
22 The Bank is a house dating from the early 19th century, with alterations made in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of ashlar stone and features projecting quoins. The roof is covered with renewed stone slates and has stone gable copings and chimneys. The building has two storeys and a basement, with a three-window range. On the left side, there is an elliptical vehicle arch with rusticated voussoirs. There are side steps leading up to a central door, which has a 2-pane overlight in a plain stone surround with impost bands. To the right, there is a 19th-century canted oriel window on the ground floor with four-pane sashes. A basement light is located to the right of the steps. The first-floor windows are sashes with glazing bars, set in projecting plain stone surrounds, with the left bay being the widest. The roof features eaves corbels for the gutter, plain stone gable copings, and corniced end chimneys. The interior has not been inspected.
