Description
Number 17, The Bank is a house that was later converted into a shop and flat, and is now a restaurant. It dates from the mid-18th century and has been altered in the 19th century. The building is constructed with irregular courses of squared stone and features a roof made of synthetic tiles designed to look like Welsh slates, along with a brick chimney. It has two storeys and a two-window range. The shop front includes carved brackets that support a full-width entablature above a half-glazed central door with a small overlight. To the right, there is blocking that likely covered a former vehicle entrance, while to the left, there is a two-light shop window with a slender mullion. The first floor features canted bay windows with two-pane upper sashes and prominent cornices. The roof has a renewed brick chimney at the left end. The interior has not been inspected.
