Cistern. Mid C18 with C20 addition and alteration. Ashlar with C20 brick addition. Ashlar-lined pit 1m square and two-thirds metre deep has sides raised in yellow brick. On west side an ashlar channel, cut from solid stone, leads to a stone sink with rebates in top and iron bar leaded in one side and originally fastening across centre. Further ashlar channel blocks scattered in ground nearby, and paved surround to cistern broken and dislodged. From this water flowed to the pyramidal Well Head (qv) 100m to west.
