Description

No. 11 Providence Row is a house dating from around 1810. It features painted incised stucco with an ashlar plinth and dressings, while the rear is constructed of brick. The roof is made of Lakeland slate and has a brick chimney. The house is double span, consisting of 2 storeys and 3 bays. The central entrance has a 6-panelled door with a fanlight, set within a doorcase that includes panelled pilasters and an open pediment. There are projecting stone sills above a blind window over the door and above the sashes with glazing bars in the outer bays, with the upper sashes being tripartite. On either side of the door, there are 2 foot scraper recesses. The house also has 4 brick chimneys at the ends.
