Description
This summerhouse, located approximately 60 metres west of No. 32, dates from the early 18th century. It is constructed from coursed sandstone rubble with ashlar dressings and quoins, topped with a stone-flagged roof featuring stone gable copings. The building has two low storeys and three narrow bays. The gabled south front faces the garden and features a central door with a moulded plain stone surround. To the left of the door is a small square window with a similar stone surround, and to the right is a flat-stone-mullioned cross window. There is also a smaller square window on the first floor, flanked by roundels. The gable has moulded coping and kneelers, and a 20th-century rain-water gutter has been added to the front of the gable. At the time of the survey, the summerhouse was derelict and partly obscured by dense vegetation. The interior was not inspected.
