Description
The Raby Estate Office is a house that has been converted into an estate office, dating from the late 18th century. It features painted rough render with a tooled plinth and ashlar dressings. The roof is made of graduated Lakeland slate, complete with stone ridge and gable copings, as well as brick chimneys. The building is two storeys high and has three bays.
The central entrance consists of a six-panel door with a patterned fanlight, all set within a corniced plain stone surround. Similar stone surrounds and projecting stone sills are present on the sash windows, which have glazing bars, with a tripartite window located to the left of the door. The roof is adorned with plain gable copings on moulded kneelers and banded end chimneys. To the right of the door, there is a large brass plaque inscribed with "RABY ESTATE OFFICE."
