Description

The pack-horse bridge, likely dating from the 18th century, features dressed sandstone faces and a tunnel. It has a single segmental arch, which is defined by large voussoirs, supporting a raised central section with low, sloping pathways leading to either end. The bridge has a low parapet, which was partly in ruins at the northeast corner during the survey. This structure is also designated as a Scheduled Ancient Monument.
