Description

A row of two cottages, originally four or five dwellings, likely dating from the 18th century with later 19th-century and 20th-century alterations. The cottages are constructed from limewashed sandstone rubble with dressed quoins, and have a moderately-pitched pantiled roof. Five rebuilt brick ridge stacks are present. The cottages are single storey. Windows feature projecting sills and flush lintels. Number 7 has a six-panel door with a three-pane overlight, and three 12-pane sashes to the left and two to the right. Number 8 has two blocked doorways, a 20th-century door, a four-pane sash to the left, and a two-pane and a four-pane sash to the right. The cottages are listed for their group value.
