Description
The Church Hall, formerly a school, is a Grade II listed building located in Romaldkirk, rebuilt around 1875 with later 20th-century additions at the rear. It is constructed of squared sandstone rubble and features stone-flagged roofs in a Tudor style.
The building is one storey high and consists of four bays. On the right side, there is a solid gabled porch that contains a pair of boarded doors on the left side and a three-pane sash window with a hoodmould in front. To the left, there are replaced twelve-pane casements also under hoodmoulds. The roof features paired stone gutter brackets, coped gables, and two cylindrical metal ridge ventilators. There is a similar porch on the left side, which has a boarded door and a pointed two-pane overlight with latticed glazing under a hoodmould, along with three-pane sashes on the returns. The rear wall has two external chimneys.
The late 20th-century additions to the left rear are not considered of special interest.
