Description
This is a lead smelt mill flue chimney located about 50 metres east of Spikehead Dam. It is constructed from millstone grit that is coursed and roughly squared, with yellow brick used for the upper courses. The chimney stands approximately 20 metres tall and tapers as it rises. It features a high plinth that contains a segmental arch made with voussoirs. The upper courses of brick are damaged as noted during the survey.
