STANHOPE B6278(East side,off) NY 94 SE NZ 996416 Stanhope 11/140 Railway marker about 660 metres south of Weatherhill engine GV II
Railway marker stone; c.1845. Sandstone slab about one metre high with round top, pecked sides and S&D/R inscribed in Roman capitals on west face. Marks east edge of railway incline first engineered by T.E. Harrison and R. Stephenson for the Stanhope and Tyne Railroad Company in 1832.
