Description
This is a large house, dating from the 18th century, that has been converted into apartments. The exterior is rendered with a textured, unpainted roughcast finish, topped by a slate roof and stone end stacks. The house is two storeys high, plus an attic. A central gable features a single 12-pane sash window. The first floor has three 12-pane sash windows set within reveals. On the ground floor, a central doorway is framed by console brackets and leads to a panelled door. To the right is a sash window, and to the left is a Victorian shop front. This projects forward and includes a fascia with pilasters, a recessed door on the right, and a two-light shop window on the left. The side elevation, facing St Ann's Street, displays the gable end of the main house and a lower, cross-wing section. The cross-wing has irregularly spaced and sized four-pane sash windows on each side of a panelled door with a moulded door frame. A separate entrance to apartment 22A is also located here. The building has been divided into flats.
