Description

New Bridge is a road bridge made of thin coursed red sandstone, featuring heavier stonework on the rebuilt parapets. It has three elliptical arches, with the center arch being broader, and is constructed with stone voussoirs and a string course above. The bridge is supported by large triangular-fronted piers that rise in four steps to create pedestrian refuges. The parapet has been rebuilt using square rubble stone and has a concrete coping. The parapet extends approximately 28 meters to the east, curving slightly to the north.
