Description
Whitehall is a farmhouse consisting of two parallel ranges, with the older range located at the back. The front facade is unpainted rendered, two stories high, and features three windows, a slate roof, and truncated rendered end stacks. The windows are from the 20th century, and there is a 19th-century door in the center. In 1980, the first-floor windows were sash windows with glazing bars, while the lower windows had already been replaced with larger 20th-century metal versions. The entrance includes a five-panel door with a five-pane overlight, and there is a rendered 19th-century gabled porch with a pointed arch, wavy bargeboards, and cruciform lights on the sides. The end gables are windowless.
The earlier rear range is also two stories and has an irregular three-window layout, constructed of whitewashed rubble with large slates on the roof and a stack at the south end. The first floor features three 20th-century windows, with the left and center ones being small and the right one slightly taller. On the ground floor, there is a 20th-century window to the left, positioned slightly left of the window above, and closely to the right is a door beneath a slate gabled hood. The center has a small three-light window with a central opening light, which may date back to the 18th century, and a small paired sash window to the right, set higher in an altered opening that may have once been a door. There is a blocked small stair light at mid-height on the right side.
An outbuilding to the right is single-story and includes a window and a door. Although not available for inspection, it is reported to have heavy beams, a large infilled fireplace at the south end, and adjoining spiral stairs. There were also stairs at the north end, which are no longer present.
