Description
The outbuilding north of Llwynau was originally an outside kitchen. It is constructed from colourwashed rubble stone and features a renewed slate roof, which replaced the original Bridgewater clay tiles. The building is one storey with a loft and has a short square stack at the left end.
The gable end includes a 20th-century glazed door on the ground floor to the left, which leads up a flight of eight stone steps to a central loft door, also with a 20th-century glazed door. The left side wall has a 20th-century three-light oak mullion window. The lower range on the rear gable replaces a lean-to and is windowless facing the yard. The right side of the main part has a 20th-century two-light window on the left and a lean-to on the right. The rear range features a 20th-century window next to a glazed door, with a rendered end wall that includes a 20th-century two-light window and a single light window.
While the interior has not been inspected, it is said to contain an inglenook fireplace with stone jambs and a wood lintel, along with adjoining spiral stone steps.
