Description

Nantyderry Cottages, Nos. 1-4, are a terrace of railway cottages built in 1854. The buildings are constructed from squared snecked rock-faced sandstone blocks, with a cogged band marking the floor level, and have Welsh slate roofs. The terrace is two storeys high, with each cottage featuring a window and a plank door on the ground floor, and a window above. The ground floor windows are 8-over-8 sash windows with an elliptical head. Number 1 has a replacement plank door dating from the late 20th century. The upper floors of each cottage have a gable to the left, containing a sash window with 2-over-2 horizontal glazing and an octagonal head. The steeply pitched roofs have brick stacks positioned on the left end of each cottage. The rear elevation is not visible. The cottages form a group. The interior was not inspected during a recent survey.
