Description
4 Drybridge Street is a small two-bay house, possibly dating back to the 18th century, featuring rendered and painted walls with a Welsh slate roof. The house has one and a half storeys and is oriented parallel to the street, with an off-centre entrance. A similarly sized range was added to the rear in the late 20th century, which completely obscures the rear elevation of the original structure.
The front features a plain door flanked by small pane casements with louvred shutters, and there are similar casements in half dormers above. The roof is steeply pitched and may have originally been thatched, with a tall red brick stack positioned on the right gable next to the taller No. 6.
During the recent survey, only the ground floor was accessible, which is entirely characterized by late 20th-century features, with no older elements visible.
