Description
The retaining wall of the holding pond at the Old Wire Works is a stone rubble structure that stands about 2 meters high and extends approximately 40 meters in length. This wall served as a dam for the Lower Wireworks' holding pond. It runs alongside the road and curves around to where a sluice once controlled the outflow onto a launder across the road, although that feature has since disappeared. The wall itself remains largely unchanged.
