Description
The retaining walls of the tidal mill pond, located north of the tidal mill, are possibly from the late medieval period and may have been repaired and rebuilt continuously until 1920, when the mill stopped operating. These walls are made of loose rubble. The sluice gate that was next to the mill is no longer present. The setting is enhanced by the Great Western Railway viaduct that spans the northern part of the mill pond.
