Description
The quay walls at the former Upper Bank Works are made of squared rubble stone and were originally topped with rounded slag coping. The walls stretch approximately 100 meters in length, featuring a curve about one-third of the way along and at the southern end. These curves are designed to angle the quay away from the river current. Only a small section at the northern end retains the original coping.
