Description
Model Farm is a farmhouse built of coursed red sandstone rubble, topped with a hipped Welsh slate roof. It is a square, two-storey structure with a roof that is hipped on both sides and features a central valley over the staircase. The entrance front has three bays, with a central arched panelled door that includes a fanlight. This door is flanked by three-light iron framed casements with elliptical heads, and there are three 2-light windows above. The side elevation has three windows, mostly 2-light, along with one 3-light window and some single light windows; a few of these are non-matching replacement timber windows. The rear elevation includes a service door and windows that are arranged in a less formal manner.
During the re-survey, only the ground floor was observed. The interior is simply finished but shows that the layout has remained unchanged, featuring a stick baluster stair in the center of the house.
