Description

The cross in the churchyard of the Church of St Thomas a Becket is made of limestone and features a stepped base, a shaft, and a restored head. It has a square base of cut stone with a paved top, which is part of a reconstruction from around 1920. On this base, there are two medieval steps and a reconstructed third step. Above this is a broached socket stone that is medieval, a tall octagonal shaft that is likely also medieval, and a plain chamfered cross from around 1920. The top step includes a relief inscription that serves as a war memorial.
