Description

This is a K6 type telephone call-box located near the entrance to Linda Vista Gardens. It is made of cast iron and features a domed roof with four lunettes that display King George VI crowns above red-lettered opals and ventilation slits. The call-box has raised surrounds around the door and sides, with marginal glazing bars on the horizontal perspex glazing. The foundry plate indicates it was made by the Lion Foundry Company Limited in Kirkintilloch.
