Description
Rock Villa is a 19th-century double-fronted house constructed from rock-faced red sandstone with ashlar dressings. It features a hipped slate roof with brick stacks. The building has a symmetrical front that is two stories high. On the first floor, there are three 4-pane horned sash windows, each with slightly cambered heads, projecting moulded keystones, and incised lines that simulate voussoirs. The ground floor includes a central semi-circular arched entrance doorway, which has a similarly decorated head and a 4-panel door, with the upper two panels being glazed. This entrance is flanked on each side by 4-pane sash windows as described.
In front of the house, along the roadway, there is a narrow forecourt that is enclosed by decorative iron gates and railings.
