Description

12 Priory Street is one of two attached Georgian townhouses, built together and sharing a common roofline and angled pitch. The exterior is roughcast rendered, with a slate roof featuring slightly swept eaves and a brick cornice to the end stack. The house extends over three storeys and has a two-window front. The top floor has six-pane casement windows that break through the eaves with almost flat roofs. The first floor has twelve-pane sash windows. The ground floor features a wide tripartite horned sash window, and a four-pane sash to the central section. A small gabled hood shelters the doorway on the left, which now has a 20th-century vertically panelled door. A plinth is present. The roofline of a former attached wing on the right reveals earlier roughcast and limewash on stone.
