Description
The garden gate piers, gates, and wall at Ty-Brith are Gothic in style and made of painted cast iron. The tall octagonal piers feature Gothic arched panels topped with quatrefoils, a cornice, and shallow pyramidal caps, resting on deep plinths. The wide double gates have two tiers of intersecting arched railings, with a decorative middle rail that includes quatrefoils reinforced by spikes. The stanchions are adorned with heavy foliage finials, and small sections of railing extend from either side of the posts to connect with the walls. The high rubble garden wall, which has narrow slab coping, links the gateway to the side of the house and faces Priory Street. The wall is curved and swept at the angle, finished with brick coping.
