Description

5 Whitecross Street is a two-storey building, likely dating to the late 20th century, with a double-depth plan. The front is rendered and painted, with a Welsh slate roof and a red brick stack. The building has three windows, arranged in a 1:2 configuration, with the right-hand part set forward under a continuous roofline. The central entrance features a late 20th-century part-glazed replacement door and overlight. A continuous fascia runs above the door and windows. The window to the right is a canted bay with plate glass sash windows, suggesting it originally served as a small shopfront. Upper windows include 6 over 6 pane sashes to the right, and an 8 over 8 pane sash with an elliptical head above the garage door. All windows have stone cills. The building has a low-pitch roof with a stack on the right gable. The rear elevation was not visible during the resurvey. The interior was not inspected.
