Description

This is a terrace of three cottages, attached to each other and located on Twyn Square. The cottages date to the 18th century. They are rendered and painted, with a continuous, steeply-pitched slate roof and two brick ridge stacks. The roofs have slightly swept eaves. The cottages are two storeys high. The upper windows are 4-pane horned sashes. Number 1 cottage slightly projects from the terrace. On the ground floor, number 1 has two doorways with 20th-century glazed doors, with a sash window between them. Number 3 has a doorway to the right with a 20th-century glazed door and a sash window to the left. Number 5 has a raised step up to a segmental-headed doorway to the right with a 20th-century glazed door and a sash window to the left. A battered base is present on the right-hand side of the terrace.
