Description
The Haulage Engine and Pitman's Cabin is a rectangular, single-storey building constructed of red and yellow brick, with an extension on its north-east elevation. The north-west elevation features a flight of steps leading to a doorway, accompanied by a small window on one side. The south-west elevation has a large blocked opening. Brackets support the verges beneath the pitched roof. The Pitman's Cabin has a stable door on its north-west elevation, while the north-east elevation includes a brick base with four pipes protruding vertically. This cabin also has a catslide roof.
Currently, the engine house does not contain any equipment and is used for storage. The Pitman's Cabin is furnished with a wooden bench and tools.
