Description

Tanyard Cottage is a small estate cottage located in Pontypool Park. It is constructed of rough rubble stone that has been whitewashed, topped with a Welsh slate roof. The building is two storeys high and features two windows with a central entrance, creating a basic four-room layout with a central hall and staircase. The entrance includes a plank door and a small porch made of red brick, which has a gable tiled roof. The windows are 12 over 12 small paned sashes with drip moulds above. The roof is plain, with a deep eaves overhang at both the gables and the front of the cottage. There is a central brick chimney stack. The interior was not seen during the resurvey in October 1996.
