Description

The Vicarage is a late Regency style villa, likely built over brick and finished with a rendered and painted surface, and covered by an artificial slate roof. The south-facing house is two storeys high and has three bays, with a central entrance. The ground floor features the original part-glazed front door, flanked on either side by sash windows with a three over three pane design. A tented verandah, supported by decorative cast iron posts and topped with Welsh slate and glazing, extends across the front. Above, the first floor has three sash windows, each with six over six panes, set in plain surrounds. The roof is hipped with deep eaves and tiled ridges, and there are two red brick stacks. The east elevation includes a ground floor canted bay with plate glass sashes. Rear extensions have undergone some alterations.

The interior of the main villa, as seen, is largely unaltered. It retains a central stairhall with a stick baluster staircase and features plain joinery and plasterwork. The original layout of the building remains unchanged.
