Description
The tomb of John Phillips, who died in 1852, is a chest tomb located at the Tabernacle Baptist Church. It features pinkish sandstone panels with a limestone base and cap, designed in the 18th century style. The tomb stands on a base of two steps and has corner balusters, one of which is damaged, in a Jacobean style. There are inscriptions dedicated to various members of the Phillips family. The top of the tomb has a central ridge and a roll-moulded edge.
