Description

13 Upper Colliers Row is one of a row of mostly altered, two-storey stone cottages with slate roofs. The cottages date to the 18th century and have group value as a cohesive row demonstrating historic vernacular housing. Most retain stone chimneys, and a few original window openings may remain unaltered. The roofs generally catslide to the rear, with many having been extended. Several cottages have been joined together, and front gardens are present, along with some surviving stone walls. To the south is an area of irregular enclosures or allotments associated with the row.

Number 13 has a painted roughcast exterior, imitation slates, and a stone chimney shared with Number 12. A small, late 20th-century window sits above a widened 20th-century window on the left side, and a ledged door is located to the right. The property has not been inspected, but it is said that the interior contains joisted floors, a fireplace to the left, and nearby winding staircases, possibly constructed of timber.
