Description
4 Chapel Row is a two-storey terraced building with the taller remains of a polygonal structure at the northern end. It features a uniform rubble frontage with some rough dressings, topped by a continuous slate roof that is hipped at the southern end, along with brick stacks. The building has a two-window front, which is wider at the southern end, and includes cemented reveals under voussoir lintels, with painted reveals at No 1. The windows are modern small-pane sash windows. There are central six-panel doors that are offset to No 5. Low walled forecourts with plain cappings connect to the splayed outer wall of the former chapel or warehouse that is located forward on the left, which has pale quoins and round-arched window openings.
To the west of Chapel Row, there is a reconstructed section of canal featuring the ironwork frame of the relocated Rhydycar Iron Bridge.
