Description
5 Chapel Row is a two-storey terraced building with the taller remains of a polygonal structure at the northern end. It features a uniform rubble frontage with some rough dressings and has a continuous slate roof that is hipped at the southern end, along with brick stacks. The building has two-window fronts, which are wider at the southern end, and cemented reveals under voussoir lintels, with the reveals painted at No 1. The windows are modern small-pane sash windows. There are central six-panel doors that are offset to No 5. The property has low walled forecourts with plain cappings that connect to the splayed outer wall of a former chapel or warehouse that projects forward on the left. This structure has pale quoins and round-arched window openings.
To the west of Chapel Row, there is a reconstructed section of canal featuring the ironwork frame of the relocated Rhydycar Iron Bridge.
