Description
Nos. 20 and 22 Lon-y-dail are among the widest pairs of semi-detached houses in the Garden Village development. They are roughcast rendered with roofs made of small slates, featuring swept eaves and tall rear and lateral stacks. The houses have a symmetrical plan with a central recessed section and stepped forward middle gabled wings for each dwelling. Each wing incorporates a doorway with a hood and a boarded part-glazed door on the return, along with a further stepped forward outer gabled wing on each side. The gables have kneelers, and the outer ones are slate hung. The original windows are small pane casements with narrow sills, and the ground floor features cross-framed windows.
No. 20 has replaced windows and a door. There is a shed, possibly built at the same time as the house, to the right, which is weather boarded with a slate roof. No. 22 has a porch wing on the side.
