Description
Creigiau Church Hall is a small Arts and Crafts village hall built specifically for church use. The exterior is roughcast with a roof made of small slates, featuring one wing that has been replaced. It has terracotta ridge tiles and coping, a central ventilator, and overhanging sprocketed eaves. The windows are all pointed arched, framed with thick moulded wood, and have quarry glazing with margins of coloured glass.
The main hall runs parallel to the street and is flanked by two short cross bays on each side at the front, along with a rear cross wing that has outshuts. Each bay features matching pointed arched doorways with quarry overlights, part-glazed double doors with decorative rails, and boarded sections below. These doorways are flanked by lancet windows, all set back within an arch that extends to wide slanting angle buttresses coming from deep kneelers. There is an additional doorway on the inner side of the cross wing.
Similar buttresses separate the wider-arched cross windows of the main range, which also has a plinth. The gable ends feature similar buttresses, including two tall ones on either side of a wide pointed-arched window. At the rear, there are similar arched windows and high double doors, with some alterations to the glazing on the sides and rear. The building has stamped hoppers.
Inside, the main hall has a timber floor and roof.
