Description
This is a small single-span footbridge located over the Roath Brook near the Conservatory. It features a flat concrete deck supported by red brick abutments. The footbridge is adorned with cast-iron balustrades that have cusped round-arched openwork, along with intermediate piers and moulded handrails. There is a cast iron string course with an ornamental band in relief. Each end of the balustrading is complemented by panelled and faceted piers that have large scrolled brackets on the outer sides and pyramidal caps. Additionally, plain railings are attached beyond the balustrades.
