Description
The footbridge over Roath Brook in Roath Park Pleasure Gardens is a single-span structure made of reinforced concrete. It features a shallow segmental arch adorned with rope-moulded decoration and short spandrel columns. The parapet includes rounded balusters and intermediate piers that display Celtic interlace in low relief, along with a roll-moulded handrail. At each end of the bridge, there are pergolas supported by two pairs of uprights, which also feature vine trails in low relief. The deck has been re-laid in coarse concrete and is ramped towards a flat center.
