Description
The Former County Club is a club building constructed in pressed red brick and terracotta, featuring painted bathstone dressings and a slate roof. Designed in the "Queen Anne" style, it has prominent tall red brick chimneys with decorative panelling. The front facade consists of three bays, with a recessed center flanked by two gables. It includes mullion and transom windows, and above the first floor, there is a cornice and frieze adorned with swags.
At the center, steps lead up to a porch with two arches at the front and single arches on the sides. To the left, there is a splayed bay window on the ground floor, while to the right, a two-storey polygonal bay is present. The rear features a two-storey bow window on the left and a pair of two-storey splayed bay windows on the right. The advanced basement arcade consists of seven arches supported by a terracotta balustrade, which holds an iron verandah featuring seven segmental arches on columns with floral capitals. An iron balustrade encloses the balcony above.
