Description

The former Salem Chapel is a simple, classically styled building. Constructed in coursed rubble with brick surrounds to the openings, rock-faced quoins, and a Welsh slate roof with a lateral stack on the rear left, it was converted to a dwelling. The building is two storeys high at the front and three storeys at the rear. The gable end facade features three round-headed multipane windows at gallery level, with rock-faced stone sills incorporating some coloured glass. Below, a cambered-headed doorway is flanked by similar windows, and it contains a double door with two panels. The two-bay side elevation has 8/8 pane sash windows. At the base of the plinth, the lower storey has an entrance on the south side, flanked by sash windows, with a conservatory added to the north.
