Description
The Romanesque gateway in the former eastern precinct wall of Ewenny Priory features an arch with three distinct orders. The inner order is plain, the middle order has an outward pointing zigzag design, and the outer order is grooved. The structure includes stepped imposts and half-round piers that are topped with small fluted capitals and moulded bases.
