Description

Monknash Forge is a single-storey rectangular building constructed from local lias limestone rubble, featuring dressed stone quoins and voussoirs. The roof is covered with asbestos sheeting. On the main south-east elevation, there is a shuttered window opening on the left side and a large horse doorway on the right. The horse doorway has an almost flat arch with a voussoir head and is fitted with plank doors. The north-east gable wall includes a boarded window with a wooden lintel and a blocked slit opening near the ground, both of which are currently covered in ivy, as is the south-east gable. The rear elevation has a small boarded window located in the center. The interior has not been inspected during the resurvey.
