Description
This is a two-storey police station built from grey coursed stone, with narrower courses on the upper floor wings. It features contrasting buff ashlar dressings, quoins, and bands, along with hipped slate roofs that have red tile ridges. The building generally has sash glazing, except for the three central ground floor windows, which have small-pane casements. The central projecting block, which has a hipped roof, includes two pairs of camber-headed windows on the first floor and three round-arched windows on the ground floor. There is a single-storey lobby on each side with round-headed doorways. A parapet band runs along the top and continues as a first-floor band in the end bays. The end bays have round-headed sashes on the ground floors and paired camber-headed sashes on the upper floor.
