Description
The Kenfig Hill War Memorial is constructed from pale grey fine-grained granite. It features a Tuscan column that stands on a panelled die and base, topped with a stilted ball finial and a bronze figure of a winged victory. The figure has one hand raised with a wreath and the other holding a baton. Each of the four sides of the die has bronze panels inscribed with the names of 36 local men who died in the Great War. Additionally, a mottled granite monument shaped like an open book has been added on the west side of the base, displaying the names of another 36 men lost during the 1939-45 conflict.
