Description

This is a mile marker located on the A48, between Pyle and Margam. It is made of iron and features a design resembling a Gothic arch with a keystone. Below the top arch, there are two canted arches that face oncoming traffic, all mounted on an arched plinth, which is set on a rectangular base. The top arch is inscribed with "BRIDGEND DISTRICT / PYLE." The canted arches have the inscriptions "TO / BRIDGEND / 6" and "TO / NEATH / 12," while the base is marked with "PYLE PARISH."
