Description
The Rees Williams monument is located in the churchyard of St James Church. It is made of sandstone and takes the form of a chest tomb. The tomb features end pilaster blocks and side panels, with a raised central block and an edge-moulded ledger slab. It is raised on three steps and commemorates Rees Williams of Tylanyliast, who died in 1832, and his wife, Hopkin Williams, who died around 1840 at the age of 63. Additional names have been added, including Rees Williams of New Park, their son, who died in 1908, noted on the end panel.
