Description
West Lodge is a one-and-a-half storey lodge with outshuts at the rear and set back to the left. It is constructed of rubble stone painted cream and features a hipped thatch roof with a stone ridge stack at the centre. The front of the lodge has a doorway to the right of centre, flanked by windows that have segmental heads. The windows and doors have been replaced but are in their original openings.
On the left side wall, there are two small attic windows with moulded surrounds and replaced casements, along with a window lower down on the left that is similar to those on the front. The outshut has a small ventilation slit on the left and a small casement window that lights the stair. The rear wall of the outshut also has two similar ventilation slits. The right side wall of the main house features two lower-storey windows and one upper storey window, all of which have been replaced in their original openings with segmental heads.
Inside, the lobby entry leads to the main rooms on the right and left, while the stair is located in the outshut on the left side.
