Description
Glan Irfon is a 2-storey, 3-bay house featuring a continuous rear outshut. It is constructed of rubble stone with a slate-hung front and a slate roof, which has rendered stacks at both ends. The windows are wooden casements in their original openings, except for the upper centre and lower right windows, which have been replaced with modern materials. A central gabled bay is slightly forward and has a replaced diamond window in the attic. There is an added central porch with a half-lit door.
On the right gable end, the outshut has two added windows made of modern materials, with the rear window located in an extension of the original outshut. The left gable end features an inserted window in the outshut, while the rear of the outshut retains a single wooden casement.
The original plan layout has been preserved, but the original panelled partitions and details of the door heads have been infilled. Upon entering through the central entrance, the original hall is located on the right side, and a smaller parlour is on the left side, with the stairway immediately behind it. The outshut contains the dairy and a former kitchen, although the kitchen has been altered, and its fireplace has been removed.
